At New Light Minimart & Takeaways, we strive to ensure every order is prepared with care and attention. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available for orders placed through our website and mobile apps.


1. Order Accuracy

We take pride in preparing your orders correctly.
If you believe there was a mistake with your order (such as missing items, wrong items, or significant preparation errors), please contact us immediately at support@newlightminimart.co.nz or speak to our staff at the pickup location.

To help us resolve issues quickly:

  • Please check your order at pickup whenever possible.

  • Provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

  • Take a photo (if possible) showing the issue.

2. When Refunds Are Available

Refunds or partial refunds may be offered in the following situations:

  • You received the wrong items.

  • Items were missing from your order.

  • Items were significantly incorrect based on your order details (e.g., wrong toppings, food not properly cooked).

  • You were charged incorrectly.

Refunds are issued at our sole discretion after investigating the situation.

3. When Refunds Are Not Available

We generally do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind after the order is prepared.

  • Late pickups causing food quality issues.

  • Minor taste differences or personal preference (e.g., "too salty" or "not spicy enough").

  • Incorrect information provided by the customer (such as wrong pickup time or contact info).

4. Refund Methods

If approved, your refund will be processed:

  • To the original payment method (via Stripe) used for the order.

  • Within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Cash refunds are not available for online orders.

5. Cancellation Policy

Once an order is placed and confirmed, it cannot be canceled if food preparation has already started.

If you wish to cancel an order immediately after placing it (and before preparation starts), please contact us by phone.
We will do our best, but cannot guarantee cancellation if preparation has already begun.
